Author was first President of the Orange Free State. Includes his big game shooting trips, buffalo hunting, an unlucky trip, lions and giraffes, bushveld treks, hyenas and Ivory trading plus his other travels. This is a rare book in first ed but this copy is in poor condition - deserving of rebinding. The orig printed cloth covers are shabby and there is a small hole in the front blank endpaper. The rest of the book is nice and could be rebound. Poor. Item #3475
